Fantastic Don!

WOW! That's awesome. Beautiful work.

Exterior looks awesome all back together. I'm sure the interior will look great as well. Funny how we all seem to have more projects and ideas then money at any given moment. I know the budget issue well. No worries you will get there all in good timing.

The Vette turned out fantastic Don.

Amazing car. Can’t wait to see the interior. Congratulations Don.

DON: are you able to drive the VETTE now before the INTERIOR UPGRADE happens?

as I mentioned before i thought even though you had a set back with the accident the VETTE probably did turn out nicer and you have done an AMAZING JOB.

WELL DONE!!

Thanks for the many compliments on the vette guys. I'm very happy with the second paint job, Much better than the first one.

Yes Drives I am able to drive the car now. I reinstalled the old seats for the time being.

I drove it the other day to lunch and it was running very poorly so it went to the mechanic shop for new injectors and a break adjustment along with a new emergency brake set up.
It should be back mid week.

I'm no song writer so it's up to you.
I brought the Vette home last nite and it runs great.Monday I should be able to put the door handles on and it's ready to head to the upholstery shop on the first of October.

We are putting the old interior back in the Vette so I can drive it around.
I have an appointment Jan 1 2019 to start the new interior.

Don: It's been kinda quiet so hope you and Ann are doing ok. are you ok or just busy getting ready for a couple Christmas parties?

are you able to stop in to visit the VETTE and maybe take a few IN PROGRESS pics or will it just be delivered when it's finished?

hoping all is well in the land of the sun and at the Party Garage.

Glad to see this beauty is still getting her finish touch. Can’t wait to see her complete.
So what is her name? Christine was a Ford Failane and a twisted story but she does has that red look.
Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas.

The movie Christine was not a ford it was a Chrysler product.

Yup, it was a 1958 Plymouth Fury. It was a muscle car predecessor. You could get a 300+ horsepower dual four barrel 350ci V8. It was fast for it's time, with 0-60mph in 7.7 seconds (bias ply tires and three on the tree). The real Fury only came in white with gold trim but the Christine Fury was resale Red with White trim.

No name yet. Just another almost finished project that I'm excited to get back on the road.
I've had bad enough luck with this car not having a name and Christene would be disastrous. LOL

Don, unless you name it Ann, no way that Corvette deserves a girlie name. It could be a Tod [Martin Milner] or Buz [George Maharis] (Route 66) but those guys didn't drive red ones. Maybe Prince (Little Red Corvette)?

Never mind! I named both of my boats but only one car -- a 1955 Plymouth Belvedere 4-door we aptly named 'Le Cochon' (French for 'The Pig').

I really dropped by to wish you, Ann and the rest of the Long family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Don: i'm really looking forward (for you and Ann mostly) to you getting the VETTE finished and having you take a 2019 version of your date so many many years ago when you both dressed up like it was 1950.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Don: I bet it will be AWESOME and worth the wait to get the right guy to do your interior. I also hope your wallet can cover the expense or maybe he needs a sign instead of cash if you might have an extra one you wouldn't mind giving up.

good luck and hope you and Ann love having a fun almost daily driver.

Just as promised
The car came home on my trailer and got unloaded
As I was putting the trailer away Ann came out to inspect (She likes it)
She asked to go for a ride so off we went

We didn't get but about 2 miles away from the house when the damn thing died

So I'm sitting on the side of the road waiting on a tow truck and decided to take some pictures Enjoy
