Thought I'd share my project. I bought this car 3 yrs ago as a daily commuter, which lasted only one trip to and from work. I got alittle carried away on my way back home, it was night time, I had just installed four, 7" HIDs and wanted to try them out on a "short cut" which was a dirt road. I had driven on the forementioned road before but since I could see A LOT better, I was uber confident which resulted in higher speeds.
Somewhere along the drive, I forgot the road went left at 90 degrees and I continue straight which resulted in four blown shocks, an over-revved engine and a hurt ego. I was originally going to just fix the engine and replace the blown shocks but the snowball effect is a persistant *******.
before...sort of
and it began. This front end I had paid for was actually build incorrectly (long story), so it's currently getting "fixed".
The long story is you can't trust every person you make a deal with...I learned the hard way, I got taken for a 1 1/2 year, $3500 ride of nothing but fustration. I got my car back in worse shape then before I left it and began doing what I had paid someone to do for me with the help of my lovely wife...which happens to know her way around a garage and tools. Began with 5 sticks of chromoly tubing, 1.5"X.095.
