I'm one of the suckers that paid 400 for the Yeti. (Well, the wife). I'm thinking hard on the rtic 20 though right now

It seems they run 15-30% off sales all the time, just which product on sale changes. Good deal if you can handle basically an AS-IS cooler. Their warranty policy changing turned me off of RTIC products. Now it's 30days and you are even lucky there as they will argue warranty coverage.

I have a lot of their bottles, cups, etc but am sold on Pelican for coolers. Just wish they were cheaper!

If you have a Lowes near you Google 20qt marine cooler they are sixty bucks. That is what I just got and seems well built.

Thanks ordered one.

FYI most TSC's have Pelicans on clearance but last I saw the discounts weren't that great and they only have one size (40 or 45 maybe?)

I already own a Yeti, but this seems like a good deal.

But just know, these are great if you actually do... say Safaris or week long camping/fishing trips.

Using one as a everyday, take the park or game, terrible. Super heavy, no wheels, doesnt hold as much as a similar sized standard cooler. FYI.

I usually just order the Pelican 35,45,65, etc from Zoro with the 25-30% coupons when they roll around. Last 65 I ordered was on a 30%. Will have to check out TSC next time I am there.

Label say 14.3 inches on the interior height. No two liters in the house, I don't drink soda.

2 liter should fit, they are about 12 inches tall. Was sure if the 14" in the specs on the web was inside or outside.

Ordered! These are/were great.

I bought one a few years ago when RTIC first came out, it's been great. Just as good as my company Yetis.

I did not know that they slashed their warranty however. Still, I just bought another one without thinking, I guess that says something.

But that's kinda scary. There's that ol' , "we'll make it good at first, but then we'll cheap out in production and REALLY squeeze it for all it's worth, just before we bail" brand mentality/suicide going around these days.

I sure hope not. I have a very early production model, and numerous Yetis to compare to. So I'll be sure to squawk here if it *****....

That is my concern as well. I've seen a few early models and they were great. I've also heard of a few warped lids on new ones that were shipped that way and told not warranty. Soooo i am hesitant. I know the warranty is basically useless on their cups and bottles. They just argue until 30days is up and then say warranty expired. I've questioned why warranty change and never got an answer.

I was wrong, it's Orcas that TSC has. So many in the cooler market now I can't keep them straight.

Just checked all 10 in my area, none available, can't ship to store, can't ship to home. I got all excited for nothing! :/

Mine came today. Looks mostly fine.

Except for the area near the spigot. There is what looks like a pinky fingernail's worth of light craze, that is actually really tiny bubbles in the surface.

And there is one solitary bubble that is maybe half a millimeter in diameter on the other side of the spigot.

I suppose I could sand them out, but they are really shallow spherical caps rather than outright "bubbles." I don't think they would support mold growth significantly more than the rest of the surface finish, which is my sole criteria in caring about this type of superficial defect, so blah.

For a $60 discount on something that is already half the price of comparable competing products, good deal! Thanks for posting!
