compared to new its a good deal

Compared to new list price it's a deal, which no one ever pays unless they are dumb.

Compared to real prices from the rock and roll truck, you're paying retail.

I would never pay that much for a tool box. I bought a 60” tall, 48” wide tool box off Craigslist for 600 a few months back, and I thought it was high... but I needed it so I paid it.

While no one pays snapon list for a box unless they're rich and stupid, that is a lot of toolbox for $4800 bucks. My guess is it was maybe 5-6 grand with a trade in new. It looks pretty pristine.

I personally wouldn't pay that, but if I was wrenching every day on cars in a shop, it would be a lot more attractive. It's probably worth that to a mechanic who has a lot of tools they need to keep in 1 box and locked.

For 5 grand, I'd have a Lista 3 bay or 2-3 used KR1000 boxes, but my needs are different from a mechanic.

4K to low 4K is nice price if clean and no hassle sale .
Worth it to someone who really needs/wants an epic, but lot of box options around these days new and used and that sort of money and less can buy a good box easily .

After subtracting the included tool voucher and including stainless steel top (though not the power top) that's only a few hundred less than the Rock n roll cab truck was selling them for last year.

I'd need a lot more than a few hundred off to bite on a used toolbox. I'd go $2500, but I'm El Cheapo. ;)

Said he was took in in trade so he’s probably not married to it for much more than he gave equity in the new car. I’d be tempted at 2500

If you're still interested in it, it would be wise to call Snap On with the serial number to make sure its paid off.
