Ordered last Thursday and it was delivered today. It is royal blue coming from a matco 4s double bay that i got new in 2005. Gotta transfer all my tools and bring the ones from home I did not have room for in the matco.

I know it's not as extreme as some others around here and that I should have gotten a few HF boxes or lista cabinets or bought a sheet metal brake and fabbed my own but this will do for now :)
Just thought i would share it came way quicker than I anticipated as well as my dealer

Sweet. when I see these type of boxes I get sad because I realize I'm in the wrong trade. I wish I was a mechanic to buy boxes like that. Be back later, lunch truck is here. Gonna eat my feelings away.

That's great. If I could swing it, that'd be the box I'd get.....I even like the color. Don't sweat the price, in 50 years that thing will still be in your garage and you'll have people saying, "Man, that's a sweet classic toolbox." That won't happen with the Harbor Freight option.

Yeah I am level 4 in everything, sprinter and Viper certified so it was easy for me to get in when I inquired about it plus they want to get the truck service going being this dealer just got RAM like a year ago, since I have been doing diesels for so many years it was a good fit for me

MattPersman,

Can you take a minute and explain how the drawer latches work?

I've never had my hands on an Epic and I've heard that they don't use the Lock 'n Roll system.

Not the OP but the handles are the latches. Lift up on the chrome of the handles and that opens the drawer.

Edit: That is my dream color and box, well done sir!

Wait.....less than a week from order to delivery??? The dealer have it at his house or something?
The only box's I ever got in under a week where the specials / promotions where the dealer had one on his truck before I even decided to buy.

Nice box, BTW!

Thanks for all the compliments guys!

Yes you basically pull the drawer handle lower part and it comes towards you and unlatches.

Yes seriously ordered it Thursday, on Wednesday he threw the deal at me and had me go to another shop where a guy had one in extreme green I wanted to see an epic because I had never seen one, the next morning I texted him to order it and he did that day and the delivery truck showed up this morning with it. He just gets those dropped shipped from the plant in Iowa maybe they had it in stock?

Had to have been in stock. If not, you would have been on the 2-3 month wait a few of us are on. Congrats on your purchase, I'm partial to blue Epiq's ;)

Beautiful box!
So...tell me more about the latching mechanism on the Epiq...does the handle rock up just like the cman? or does it come straight out?

The Power-top ran through my mind but never saw one wasn't pushed on the greatness of it, just a stainless top with a power strip on it? I don't really even see any propaganda on snap ons website for it. I don't think dealer sell many epics so they may not be able to push all the cool features.

This fit right in my budget after trade in, discounts and rebates. The width is good for my area the 76 or bigger would be too big I would have to get rid of one of my tables and at times I have had 3-4 transmissions apart at once so I need space at the drop of a hat. Not to mention other items I might have off cars.

I will try to take a few more pics today we got a bunch of snow and usually the shop is slow when that happens.

Nice box, guy at work has the same one just red and the power top and is very nice, keep an eye on your slides because he had a bunch replaced because balls were falling out and the top 2 drawers were missing paint in some places.

I love the powertop. Its really convenient. my was free so I cant complain. SO messed up and sent my dealer a 68 instead of a 60 and told him to keep it so it ended up on my box.

I had a few issues at first with my drawers mostly the top and the bottom drawers but once I got some weight in them and opened enough times they glide smooth.

Nice job that's an awesome box. It's my dream box, as much as I love green I can't get a black epiq out of my head. Some day it'll be in my bay.

My SO guy has a blue triple on the truck and that thing is awsome and one of my friend has a green triple in his garage. Great quality on a great box. You should enjoy it for years to come. Congrats
