Anyone bought a 68” and then wished they went 84” I see plenty of 84” for sale but not many 68” so I’m thinking 84” But wonder if it’s a pita for the odd time I want to move it in my garage. Does a 68” with a couple of side lockers have more than enough space?

a 72" masters wasn't big enough for me.......

Its one of those things... cry once buy once... or buy now, and buy again later... only you can make that decision.

I have never woken up and said, man, I wish I would have gotten a smaller box...

I bought a USG HF 44". Then I realized I needed more space, so I bought another 44" to put next to the first one, making it 88" total.

I have the newer 22" deep style. But I envy the deep design snap on has. They are top notch.
(Random tool box pic not mine)

All toolboxes are a PITA when you want to move them. A 68" epiq is a pita only a bit less than an 84".

I have a KRL1033, locker, and a KRL7XX top and bottom. And a 7 drawer cart, and another cabinet, and my equipto cabinet. And the stuff stacked above/below all of it. I'm about ready for another triple.

It's all about what you work on, what you have to supply to do so, what you feel required to keep locked, and how you organize.

I wanted a 68", but couldn't find one for a good price. I paid $4500(originally listed on CL for $9K) for my 84". Now I wish I could find a Mr. Big 120". My 84" is basically full and I have tools sitting on top of it. I don't think the 84" is that bad to move around the garage, or move in general. I have moved it twice as I have moved houses twice since I bought it. Once full of tools and once empty. It is not much different either way.

I have a 68 and sometimes I wonder if I made the right pick.

Where I worked for a while, one of the engine shop guys had the monster box Mac used to sell. With the extra end boxes he had on it, it got the nickname of “The Aircraft Carrier”. Weighed so much, we had to use the tug for our Falcon 20’s to move it anywhere. Took 4 or 5 guys just to push it a few feet.

I looked at the big Epics when I was adding boxes. The selling point of the KRL 1032 and 1033 was the width of the biggest drawer. None of the Epics have a drawer that size.
So for my needs I went with a KRL 1032 and a 1033 butted them next to each other and I think it is bigger than the BigOne they sell.
