6mil super six poly for concrete floors

Im getting my concrete floor this weekend and i would like to know if clear 6mm super six poly with red tuck tape would be ok to use for a moisture barrier for my 5 inch thick concrete floor for a 30x44ft pole barn,im not sure if i will regret it or not,anyone have an idea,thanks.

Well I think it will be ok....don't be poking any holes in it. Any insulation under the slab?

I used 6 mil under my floor, along with 3" of XPS foam insulation. You won't regret doing it now.

I used 6 mil poly and 2" xps foam under my pad

Personally I think its an excellent choice to get a good quality slab.

Did you compact the stone underneath the vapor barrier?

What kind of steel reinforcement are you using?

Do you have saw cuts lined up for the next day after the pour?

These are also questions which will help keep the quality of the finished product up.

I packed the gravel and fine screenings real good and will have no insulation under the 6mil poly i just want to stop the moisture from making the floor sweat.

Im also using 4x8 sheets of steel wire mesh on top of the poly,going to use some patio stones to keep the wire mesh off the poly.

Can anyone tell why i shouldnt use the clear 6mil poly for a moisture barrier under the concrete,i had a friend ask why i would put the poly under concrete he told me i may regret it,there isnt any foam sheets under the poly just the crushed stone and fine screenings on top that have been packed well,and some wire mesh sheets on top of poly.

Yep I did 2 layers in WA aka wet. No problems
