I would like to be in again this year. I have been looking forward to it all year and had a great time with it last year. I don’t agree with the participation rules this year. Every other year if you weren't a senior member there was a joined by date requirement to be able to participate. If the rules don’t change, I hope five senior members can find it in their hearts to vouch for me so I can join in the gift giving fun. Like I said, I did participate last year and my gift got there before the deadline and I followed all of the rules about posting a picture when you get it and when you open it.

I read garage journal every day, I don’t post much because I usually don’t feel like I have enough experience in the topic being discussed to post something constructive. I don’t want to be the one that just posts useless comments to get their post count up like it’s a popularity contest.

I really hope that I will be able to participate this year, maybe an exception could be if you participated in the past and followed the rules. Like most on here, I enjoy tool shopping and gift giving.

If I recall correctly, last year the requirement was 100 posts OR member for x amount of time... I see the rules have changed, can an exception be made for those that participated before?
