BelAire and Chicago Pneumatic are literally made on the same assembly line in Rock Hill, SC.

The 318VL has a cast iron cylinder and aluminum head and coolers, this unit has an all cast iron pump, so it would be identical to the BelAire 418VL.

The pump on the 318VL is a great pump and been used by them since the early 80's, I kind of lean toward cast iron.

The 318VL has a cast iron cylinder and aluminum head and coolers, this unit has an all cast iron pump, so it would be identical to the BelAire 418VL.

All the 7.5HP single phase units will have 3450 RPM motors.

Models 318VL, 318VLE, RCP-7581VS and RCP-7581V: Pump RPM is around 1350 (These have a hybrid pump with solid cast iron cylinders, crankshaft and valve plates, and aluminum head, coolers and crankcase)

Models 418VL, 418VLE, RCP-C7581VS and RCP-C7581V: Pump RPM is 900 (These are Cast Iron Pumps)

I got a tracking number and I'm going to be making room- or building a bump-out to house the compressor this week.

I might even cook up an aftercooler (or buy a used air cooler - they have a lot of those around Tulsa). I want air dry enough to sandblast and plasma cut - I don't do a lot of painting.

Please be careful when you post, I almost had to call 911 for an ambulance. I didn't read the number carefully and thought that was on the rotary screw. No room for a horizontal tank, and already have an excellent compressor that exceeds my needs, but at that price, even with shipping, I would probably have had a massive coronary trying to resist (and likely failing). Still feeling a little light headed...

The comparable BelAire would be 418VL. Both have the cast iron pumps. The only reason we can do this particular deal is that it has been in stock longer. The RCP-C7581VS would work best with a 60 amp breaker. If you have good strong 230 volts, you may be able to get by with a 50 amp breaker.
