Finally getting around to posting some more pictures.

Added a top to the workbench. I started with standard 2x material, ripped them as required, planed the edges, then joined them with biscuits. Once the glue dried, I sanded and cut the ends to make a finished top. I also used a 1x4 as a backsplash.

Ready for stain:

Some more sanding, now ready for polyurethane:

Several coats and it's ready to install:

Top installed. Two of the vise bolts are anchored to the steel frame, the others are simply lag bolted to the top. I've been using it for couple of years now and it's rock solid:

Pictures of the loop driveway going in. We added a concrete pad on the east side of the garage to store our RV. I also had them add a gravel pad on the west side of the garage to store my car trailer.

Forming and pouring the areas around the garage:

I decided to lay conduit under the driveway in case I needed to run wiring in the future:

Concrete work complete:

The landscapers brought in topsoil, graded it and sprayed the grass seed. Good shot of the gravel pad in the background.

Looking better after the landscapers did their thing:

I decided to convert an old, commercial workbench into a transmission/differential tear-down table. I had a top made by a company that makes stair pans. They hemmed the top edge, I only had to weld the corners closed:

Not the prettiest welds, but they won't leak:

I drilled a hole near the center and welded a pipe ****** to the bottom side. I also cut the heads off two 1/2" bolts and welded them to the corners to hold the top in place:

Looking good so far:

My high-tech drain system - a 5 gallon bucket that sits perfectly on the shelf under the bench:

Added a fixture I made to hold Ford 9" differentials:

The fixture in use:

I'm getting a little too old to be tossing automatic transmissions around, so I looked into an easier way. This was an excellent buy off Craig's List. Unfortunately, it was a few inches too tall to roll it in the overhead door:

Work smarter, not harder, right?

A picture of the sink I added. It only drains to the dry well just west of the garage, so I used an air admittance valve to keep the plumbing simple. It's tucked up under the sink, right below the faucet, so I wasn't able to get a picture of it.

The electric water heater can be seen under the stainless steel shelf. And I added a motion sensor activated paper towel dispenser above the sink.

The yellow ball valve is the main water shutoff for the garage. The blue gate valve is just an extra spigot.

Very nice build, sir!

Thanks a ton for all the radiant floor system detail also. I ran PEX/manifolds during my slab pour a couple years ago, but haven't done the heating system yet. This is a huge help.
