Thanks guys i really appreciate it :D (i have searched before,i belong to SCCOA fourms as well as TCCOA, so i know how it goes :p )

Look it over and find the spot welds
Take a die grinder and die grind the spot welds till they get thin in the divider. As they get this there will be a little blue ring that starts to form in the metal around the spot weld.
Stop at this point and you will be able to break the dividers loose.
Grind the bottom of the drawer flat where the spot welds were and touch up with paint.

You can do something similar with a spot weld cutter

First off, welcome to GJ

What box is it that you have or plan on buying? Maybe a KR537/KR557 top bottom. I know that combo has a bunch of dividers in it.

Actually the manufacture lies to you. Those are not drawer dividers, but actually drawer stiffeners. Trying turn a needed structural item into a selling feature. They prevent the drawer from sagging and permanently stretching under heavy load. I would highly advise that you do not remove the dividers. I have a box that had a few dividers removed. I have since put them back in. Especially on wide drawers.

If you are fixed on removing them, and again I high recommend that you don't. They can be taken out at the welds with a flat tipped drill bit. Use care to drill though only the top piece and not the drawer bottom.

The box model number should be stamped on the left side panel, or rear, and possibly front panel.

WOW :scared:, you really ****. Great deal. Yea they may need some work, but they don't look that bad from the pics, at least not rusted out.

Top box is a KRA59, bottom is KRA 377 or KRA379 right side box is a KR274, should have 3 drawers and a shelf. All look to be mid 70's boxes.

At an average of ~$32 per box, you did extremely well.

Edit, and I still stand by my original statement, especially on that top box. Leave the dividers in. They greatly stiffen the top compartment as well as the top 6 drawers.

Yeah well you could see my little craftsman box was out growing me and my manager at autozone offered it to me, all the drawers and stuff work ..the only thing that's wrong with it is the bottom half's door needs to be put back on
