alright guys, i’m new here and this is my first post and i apologize for it being so long lol I’ve been wanting to get a bigger box for a few months now, right now I have a matco 6 drawer roller cart that’s roughly 40 inches wide. it’s just not big enough for me. i also have a 41” husky combo at work that’s getting flimsier by the day, i want to get a 72” box in the near future. I’ve been doing research some research on boxes and had decided to wait and get a black 72” us general box when they come out. however i just stumbled upon the master force series, I love the 56” wide drawers and that’s what made me decide to go harbor fright but i noticed the master force has 3 56” wide drawers. im hoping someone can chime in and give me some pros and cons of each box, the 72 general and the 72 masterforce. I considered the husky 72 wide but looked at some reviews and they seem to be even more flimsy made now vs when i bought mine. my other question is how often to these masterforce boxes go on sale? right now it’s $1599 with an 11% rebate which brings it to just over $1400. the us general box is $1099 and almost always has a coupon that takes it down to $999. what’re your thoughts? and yes I searched the masterforce vs us general topic on here but could only find a post dating back to 2010. I have to assume some thing have changed since then.. thanks, anthony

Current Masterorce is a massive quality/design leap over the HF 72"
Better construction, better slides, proper lift handle latches, 2" deeper drawers, good color choice and addons .
72" masterforce drawer layout pretty good and at lowest price/rebate is pretty good buy and way better than a HF box . It actually better compared to Homak rs pro rather than HF us gen ...

I got the masterforce. It was more $$.
1.the 2 extra long drawers(1 has wrenches and 1 screwdrivers) and not having the really deep drawer in the bottom left on the hf were big reasons I went with mf.
2.Also the fact you have to open the drawers on 1 side on the hf was prabably the biggest draw back on hf.
3. Deeper drawers on mf (24 vs 22)
4.the outlet in the box (mf) is nice because where my box is at I am blocking an outlet.
5. My kid liked the mf blue better
6. The masterforce was on sale about 1 or 2 monthes ago for $1299.... so it may go on sale again

I was in the same situation as you. I had a 56 US General prior and I felt it was a good quality box. I made my choice to go MF 72” over the General because of the 3 long drawers. After owning both I am glad I purchased the MF. The fit and finish on the MF is of higher quality and I am happy with my choice. Either would be a good box but if you can swing it I would go with the MF.
