74 Wilton PowRScrew

Today I picked up this PowRScrew in remarkable condition, My wife has a vise that I had restored on FB and a guy reached out to her about purchasing his rare Wilton hydraulic vise. To be honest I didn’t know about this vise , I knew about the pneumatic Wilton but not this one, a member helped me yesterday indentifying it. I don’t think it has a single hammer mark on it and everything seems to work normally, going to read up some before I disassemble it and restore it back to its glory! I’ll post some pics. Enjoy

Wow! Seventy-four feet long? Or jaw width?

What's with the odd mechanism on the front of the dynamic? A quick-adjust?

Lol...Nice, Not exactly sure but the uniclamp says to hold it and turn the spindle out until the clips click in the notches in the spindle. Maybe to relieve pressure on the jaw internally? Hopefully somebody with more than my fifth grade education can elaborate.

Finished this 74 Wilton the other day, came out good. At first it didn’t look like it had any abuse but after removing a very stubborn unknown type of paint it had a few hammer marks. I tend to leave the character intact after it it’s just a tool. Paint is hammered silver, replaced the hydraulic fluid and bled it. Enjoy
