Hi I recently got a KR555 and it has the original lock without the key. I know I can buy the key off eBay for about $15 but I have some spare locks/lock cylinders/keys

How do I go about swapping them out? I’m pretty sure I just need an adapter but don’t know the correct term for it. It’s a square piece that sticks out the back and the rod things centers on it then gets screwed in place.

that square pc that sticks out the back of the lock accepts the cam ( the latch with the square hole in it) and is part of the lock plug ( the part that the key fits in to )
you could probably strip a cylinder down and use the wafers & keys in the original lock. it will take some patience and careful not to loose springs & wafers

Thank you I was having trouble figuring out what all the pieces were called. I actually ran into another problem with the lock bars. The one on the right is really rough I had to use a piece of wood and hammer it up/down to loosen it a bit. It doesn’t look like I can remove it what are my best options should I use degreaser then oil to free it up?
