Hi

This is the garage i started earlier this summer. I did the excavation, form work, rebar and pex myself. Photos are from today after a few hours of pulling my forms out.

I plan to start framing next weekend.

Nice looking start, winter is on the way. It's time to call in all favors and have a garage building.

Here is a 3d rendering of the framing. Not accurate as it is old and I will do the final plans in 2d Autocad as it is much faster for me.

Nice. What is the reason for the stagger? Is it aesthetic? I mean you are losing some space. Also since you're up in cold winter country how about bringing the lower roof shed out over the man door for some weather protection?

The stagger is indeed for aesthetic reason. In all the months of planning, I could not find a design that i liked with the flat facade. As for space, I settle with what I have now because of budget. At some point I was gonna have the back wall 4' further back, giving my 108 sf more, but the back gave me only so much to work with.

Pic 1: After 1 day of framing
Pic 2: Big piles of my concrete forms i ripped off
Pic 3-4: Pic taken a few minutes ago, after 2 weedends of framing. Also, my boss dad was nice enough to come home with a kubota kx121 to backfill and level all the dirt... i only 4 hour.
Pic 5-6: Inside pic with the ridge beam. I lifted it here yesterday with the Hiab on the shop trailer.
