Because of a generous Catfishdan I was able to get a 3062 DOE that completed the entire set of Pebble wrenches. It was easy at first I'd find ones I didn't have almost every weekend. When I got down to needing just a few it got fairly difficult. I've been stuck on needing the last wrench for 3 years. Trying to collect them all is only for the very patient, but worthwhile. Thanks again Dan.

Nice set! I suppose the next thing is to try to find replacements for the few that are heavily corroded, and then you can build a display board like those woodland_hank has posted recently. :)

Thanks Stuart, I would like to upgrade a few of them. Only thing is, some like the 3061 is the only one I've ever seen I think.

Wow, I'm glad I haven't started down that path. I have quite a few of those dbe and combo's, didn't realize there were so many of the dbe. I have the Proto LA dbe ones, there're only about 6 or 8 of them as far as I've been able to find.

I had more Snap-on XV's than Plomb, so started filling out that set. There's as many or more of them as your Plomb dbe; the different combinations of sizes on them makes for quite a number of possibilities. Just when I think I have them all, I find another one with an out of sequence pair of sizes that makes the set bigger.

Nice set, and a lot of effort to get it to where you are. Post out what ones you're trying to upgrade; probably a few for sale or trade on here. I know I have a pretty good batch of Plomb set aside to get rid of when I find time.

Awesome!!
I’d love to hear your thoughts on which series was easier, or harder.
In my neck of the woods of the PNW:
Combos are very easy
Flares are easy
DOEs are a very distant third
DBE.....forget about it

Well shanny, in my opinion the DOE set is the hardest to complete and combos the easiest. The largest wrenches of any set seem to be the hardest to find. Dan, it took almost nine years of collecting to complete the sets. I still need one tool to complete all of the pebble tools made, a 5868 breaker bar. That should keep me looking for along time.

How many years do you have into that collection? I understand about the patience required to complete a set like that. I've thought about this exact collection but there are far too few Plombs available in the Midwest. So, I'll settle for just the combo set. I'm 6 wrenches away from completion. If you were close enough I'd offer to make the display board for you. I'm saving my pennies to buy a 1929 Model A Pickup.

Oh, Oh. I think I saw an owner's initial on the 13th from the bottom on the middle row. Better check them all, just to be sure.

Have you gotten any of the Proto full pebble tools. Not the small pebble panels, but the real deal pebbles?
Line wrenches, rats, breakers, etc.
