$8 Craftsman 3 drawer box

How bad did I get screwed on this Craftsman 3 drawer box from CL? It has a couple small surface rust spots and dings. He asked $10 but I talked him down to $8.....

I had one just like it as my main box for many years. It will hold your tools just fine.

I would have taken it if it were closer, so I'd consider it a good deal then.

I have the deep top 2 drawer version in my garage and don't use it. I wouldn't sell it for 10 dollars. You came out good

I've got one of those too... I took the lid/drawer lock bar out so the drawers will open with the lid closed, and mounted it to the base of my drill press.
I've got a drill press vise and home-made round-stock clamp in the top, the first drawer has all my big bits and countersinks in it, the second drawer has all my hole saws, hole saw arbors, pilot bits and a screwdriver to change the pilots. I keep the lid closed at all times, so it doesn't fill up with metal chips, and I can quickly open the drawer I need to grab whatever.

I have one of these boxes, to hold my SAE wrenches and tools I dont use much, to make room in my big toolbox. Its a nice little box for the cheap price.

no way. the 4 drawer rally box is about 70 bucks. I think the 3 drawer model is about 30 bucks new.

My first two store bought boxes from the late '70s are just like that. They don't get much daily use now; mainly storage detail.
