It's part of the Craftsman club flyer and is good for this month only. Combined with the Friends and Famly event this past weekend, I got the bench (including taxes) for $385.

While I was there I also saw an expired ad that said you would get a free 24" Gladiator wall cabinet with any Gladiator purchase greater than $300. The ad had ended in mid/late April but I asked about it (pretending I hadn't seen the expiration date) and the store associate went ahead and ordered one for me anyway (since they were out of them).

The only downer was that I got it home and noticed some damage to the work surface and of course the Sears Hardware store is now out of the 8' benches. I called another Sears though and just need to bring it in and do a swap. Oh well, another trip to Sears to spend money.

I got that same bench from them a while ago. It was about the same price. They had the buy more save more sale going on and they gave me a 10% military discount on top of that. The bench was the one part of my order that actually came in descent time! Good bench.

$60 is a great price but I'm wondering why they would have sold it on clearance. Especially if it wasn't damaged.

Has anybody heard if they're discountinuing any of the Gladiator line? I didn't think they were and remember seeing something where they showed that the wall cabinets were going to be converting to the same handles, but now done in metal as oppose to the plastic ones they use today.

I didn't get as good of a deal as yogitech, but I picked up two 6-foot benches from the clearence area for $137 each. I was told the manager moved some to clearence because of stock levels and the boxes were in bad shape...the benches however, were perfect. I also just recently picked up a tall gearbox from the clearence area for just over $200 (over $100 discount). I always recommend checking the clearence area at Sears on a regular basis!

Soory I didn't clarify. My girlfriend at the time and I used to work for Lowes, and someone had ordered the 6ft workbench and tall locker ($900+ i believe). Somehow the original purchaser didn't want them once they arrived at the store. I had mentioned it to my girlfriend and she had manager friend sign off and cut the price on both of them (brand new in boxes and extremely heavy).. Ended up walking out of there for $63 minus employee discount.

So, I messed up acctually I got the 6ft workbench and tall locker cabinet for $60ish.... :bounce:
