Bought this 8 in Wilton vise from ebay that one of the members posted a link to the item and I won the vise for less then 90.00, it was sold as/is but from the pictures it looked OK but missing the back cap cover and had broken jaws, I took it all apart and it was in very nice condition and you can see the date code.. now I'm looking for some smooth jaws and the regular jaws, I know they make aftermarket jaws but are they as good or better then ordering them from Wilton ? anyone know the name of a company that have the best jaws. thanks,

Orchid now i still remember you asking if your $60 purchase on your Wilton swivel vise and if it was an ok deal a few months ago. only because i would like a wilton swivel. now you show a 2 inch Wilton with fitting copper jaws and i actually like that one better than your swivel. keep up the good work.

i would have passed on the Wilton you bought probably because i already own one that is in better shape, but when you shared the story of the $150 anvil when you went to pay for the vise i had to smile.

I bet you don't even know it's 115 all summer down there because it seems to be raining good old US steel at your house.

good luck with the restore.

That's a heck of a deal on a USA monster vise! I'm happy for you.

Are you going to refurb/paint it?

I'd be happy to mail you a factory decal for it, like in the image below. A certain somebody on the forum was nice to share some with me so it's no problem to get one to you. PM me your address if you want it and I'll drop in the box tomorrow.

Edit: I have one with red print and one with black print, both have mirrored backgrounds. So let me know which you prefer.
