If I didn't have to drive 31 hours to get there, I'd pick it up myself.

If it IS the above vise, I'd pay 200 for it! Really nice. I need a good vise that can actually clamp things down....

guess I'm moving to Seattle.

better grab my Nirvana T-shirt.

If it is indeed an 8", then it appears to be an 800S Machinist . 227lbs, 12"max. opening,5.5" throat depth, 54,000 psi castings.

The big mama from 40 years ago or so.

What are you waitin' on? git to it! :3gears:

Thats an older Schiller Pk, C-series and Wilton did not make a 8" C-series. The biggest they made was the C-3 with 6" jaws. I don't know, I certainly am not going to ask him to remeasure the jaw width. The giveway is the smaller anvil surface and deeper throat. No way thats a 1780A..Notice, the jaws bolt up from in back. Thats a C-3, 6" Combo..Still, a great buy! I might be wrong as I usually am, but I think that vise might be missing the pipe jaws. Pipe jaws on a C-3 are $100+ I think. Oh, and another thing,he might have been researching red Wilton combos, not bullets, and came up with that 30,000 psi. Thats what their import utility vises are rated at. That C-3 is 60,000.
