80,000 btu mr.heater maxx pipe size.

Hey guys. my new house has a 1" manifold. Im planing on getting a 80k btu maxx garage heater, its about 70 feet away total in pipe, question is , what size pipe do i need? 1" or will 3/4 do?

Im running a 80k big max. 1 inch line to the house, 3/4 line off the main to the garage. My total run is 65 feet.

You should be good with 3/4. With that being said, I always like to go a size up, just in case.

Big maxx 80k....i guess the inlet size is 1/2 inch...go 1.5 inches...
think either 1 or 3/4 will be good

I would make that run in 1". It will give you a bit more capacity for future use and I think it a good idea to have that flexibility. You mention that there is "nothing else on this run". Sizing a gas system requires that you look at the total connected capacity inside the meter.

3/4 will do you. If it was a shorter run you could get away with 1/2.
