Amazon has a deal on these screwdrivers for $50. What's the verdict on GW screwdrivers? I'm due to replace some/all of my CMAN USA clear handles after 20 years of home use. I had my eyes on a Proto set but that's an 8 piece for $80. I can't justify truck brands not being a pro, but I like to get the best tool I can afford.

What are your thoughts?

PS, i tried the search but it seems gearwrench and screwdriver come up too much and aren't showing me gearwrench screwdrivers. Just threads about gearwrench or screwdrivers.

And that's why I love this forum! I like the Tekton USA option. The Carlyle look nice too but having USA made, like so many on this forum, feels better.

I have this set. I actually paid about $60 for it. It's decent, I like the grips. I don't abuse my screwdrivers, i.e. use them as pry bars or chisels. Only complaint is that I wish it had more phillips offerings, especially a long one. Had a screw I was trying to remove on my dishwasher and couldn't get to it with anything from this set. Had to go to my old craftsman drawer and get the long one out. Other than that, it's been great.

Would buy again.

Thanks for the link! When you go to the NAPA site you linked it also shows an insulated set for $41. I needed an insulated set for a home project, went to NAPA, pulled up the link and asked if they had it in stock, which they did.

Perfect!
I'm glad you were able to source a set. Napa has some good stuff.

Sellers do that when they are out of stock so people don't order them, and they don't have to take the add down, as for gearwrench screwy dees, a guy was just telling me the other day how much they sucked and the shaft broke off while he was taking a oil filter off with the old stabber method, abuse? Probably but still....get the tekton.
