80's Curtis Air Compressor Project

So I got this air compressor from one of my clients. It was used to power the pneumatics for a boiler heating system. Building was built in the late 80's or early 90's. I was able to run it before it was removed and everything seemed to be in working order even the air dryer. Obviously the compressor and motor have been replaced. Would this make a good shop compressor or is it somehow not appropriate somehow because it is a climate control compressor?

usually the PSI is lower on system compressors ... maybe 40psi max . you'll have to make sure the tank will hold more pressure and probably change out the pressure switch, safety blow off etc .
when you say motor and pump were obviously changed, why & what were they replaced with?

Having trouble getting images to display. The motor was changed with a Dayton motor and the compressor was also changed, both are a different color than the Curtis color. I thought I saw a rating on the tank for 165 PSI but I will double check that.

for imgur posts to show up on here you need to remove the "S" from HTTPS, and the i. before imgur. usually it works, sometimes it doesn't
you're better off to upload the image here from your computer

MacMcMacmac is that a bad replacement for the original? The plan for this was to disassemble and get the tank pressure tested and paint the compressor and motor to match.

Nothing wrong with a QT series pump.

If it was a Curtis Masterline pump on there originally, I'd say it was something of a downgrade, but it will serve you well for many years. Curtis sells many cheaper splash lube Fu Sheng pumps, since they are owned by Fu Sheng, so it might actually be a better pump than it came with.
