I spoke to MSC just a minute ago. No dice for me on the 57-piece set :( I get to keep the quadbox wrench and will get a refund for what I paid, but the best she offered me was 25% off my next 3 orders with MSC.

Oh well, if anyone wants to trade the flex sockets they get for the quadbox wrench let me know. I already have that wrench.

I just got the same deal. Not as good as I hoped but I did get a free wrench and 25% off my next three MSC orders, definatley worth the effort and i have been realy impressed with MSC.:thumbup:

I don't see how they can offer some people the set and deny it to other people. For those that just were offered to keep the wrench and get 25% off three of your other purchases how many sets did you order?

I haven't heard anything from MSC & my package is still in the UPS system. I just ordered one set.

I ordered one set. The lady offered me one of the socket sets at a discount, never talked about how much, or she told me i could keep the wrench and get 25% off my next three orders. I was getting ready to buy alot of Proto tools from them before this whole thing started anyways so for me the %25 discount is going to end up being worth alot more than the socket set.

I ordered one set. I was offered to buy the set at $92 or so. That was the lowest they go she said.

I'm not sour on the deal at all, even if others get the set for cheap. MSC had excellent communication with me and 25% off ain't bad plus the free wrench. I just got a call and a confimation email that they are crediting my account right now.

No stacking, won't apply to clearance or sale items either but everything else in my cart this afternoon was %25 off. Saved alot more than I had put into the original set.

Except that the WEB25 coupon gets you 25% off on 5 or more items from today 'till Friday...

I'm sorry you guys aren't getting the GW sets. That *****... I wonder what their criterion was on who is getting it...

I guess I'm the only one that loses out completely on this. They're issuing a calltag to UPS to come pick them up, I don't receive credit back for them until they arrive back at MSC, I get no discount, nothing. I feel a little short changed here.

well i just got off the phone with msc . i was offered the socket set at $100 and i declined. but i am now a member of the free wrench club.

Has anyone actualy gotten their refund yet????? I recieved the wrench yesterday and was able to place an MSC order with 25% off but they have not credited my card back yet. Amazon says it has to come from MSC and MSC is saying it has to come from Amazon.

i was offered nothing by msc other than a refund once they receive the quadbox deal back.

i called and talked to two different reps there, both were unaware of this and just offered the standard rma.

congrats to those who got deals offered for the error on their part though. too bad they don't treat all customers the same. anything over an rma then refund would have sat well with me, but i am very disappointed with this whole situation.

My two boxes were picked up by UPS on Monday, I received an email confirming a refund for one of the boxes (it was shipped as two separate orders) but no credit has showed up in the bank yet. Both boxes were picked up same day, wondering where the email is for the other one.

I ended up having to file a claim with my credit card company to get my refund, amazon was blaiming msc who was blaiming amazona who was...

After being on the phone for three days with both i called capitalone and 30 minutes latter amazon processed my refund.

fwiw, i am still trying to get my money back from MSC. i have called them too many times to count at this point. they are very nice on the phone, and keep telling my they are processing the reimbursement, but at this point, it is just ridiculous.

They had my item back by start of business on the 14th, and two full weeks later, i'm still dealing with this...

I will avoid MSC at all costs after this.

same here, I'm actually on the phone with amazon this very second, for the 7th time I think. I have received refunds for only 2 of the 3 sets I bought. MSC has been very helpful, given me the credit memos for the refunds, seems they've done everything right on their end. Amazon is really starting to piss me off though, they just can't get anything right. Can't understand hardly anyone I talk to, first it was two ladies that had a mix of canadian and rhode island accents, for a southern boy in GA, hard to understand anything they say. From then on, I keep getting Indian folks that I have trouble even pronouncing their own names.

ETA: just hung up, the gentlemen from Amazon is guaranteeing me a refund for the full amount by Wed. and that he is personally going to follow this situation to make sure it gets resolved (not sure how much weight that carries but it's a start). I got pretty heated since this is the umpteenth time I've called about this. We'll see how it goes.

MSC has issued me a credit memo also. they sent it to me on the 21st, but everything ends there. Amazon keeps claiming MSC has never sent them anything to notify them of the return.

I talked to a supervisor at MSC this morning who told me to email amazon and tell them that I had a return. I told her that I have never had to email amazon to notify them they need to process a return before, and she said she would look into further and call me back. She took my number, but I don't expect a return call.

I went through the same problems with amazon claiming MSC never refunded it. After the sixth call I called my credit card company and filled a claim, 30 minutes later amazon sent me an email and refunded my money.

I did try that, but Wells Fargo told me that the company has 30 days from the day they promise refund before they can step in, so that wasn't an option for me.

I filed an A-Z guarantee claim with Amazon against MSC, and I finally got my money back this morning. MSC failed to ever notify Amazon of a refund for me. This was completely MSC in the wrong, and Amazon did a great job and refunded my money within 3 days of filing the claim.
