Funny this thread pops up.... I just got the Fire HD7 ( their step child tablet ) great screen , great sound, OS ***** big time, very restrictive, wanted you register for amazon for everything....

I also bought the HD7 during Prime Days when it was one super sale.

I pretty much agree with all this. The interface ***** compared to my iphone, but it is a lot cheaper than an ipad.

I now use it in the kitchen for reading online recipes and for watching videos.

But the 32GB card is another $20

$10 deals sometimes pop up for the lower brands. Walmart.com had a Samsung 32GB for $10.50 about a week or so ago. Looks like the price is still available.

I'm not sure about the cost of the free tablet case, though.
