Where's the best place to get garage doors over 8' high? I'm in the process of designing a garage and was curious as to what the additional cost would be.

Check Overhead Door .. 16' x 10' and 18; x 10' fall in $1200 - $1800 range depending on insulated or not. This includes installation cost.

Any garage door company. Windsor, Amarr, several others. All make commercial doors.

This is my Windsor door............... (pic was made 12 years ago, there is grass and concrete there now.)

Your best bet is to get some quotes from local door Cos. Prices are going to vary depending on location! They generally send out a salesman to measure for any problems..Headroom, Sideroom, etc. free of charge. Make sure they bring literature so you can see what you're getting. Good luck..

Roll up 10x10's are about $400 - $500

After having a roll up door I would never put up a conventional rail one. I did have to make an opening system, but its worked flawlessly for 5 years now.

I would be looking for one 16' x 9' and two 10'w x 9' high. I'm interested in the residential insulated type with windows (carriage type?). I'm also thinking of the side mount opener so I have the headroom for a 4 post lift.
