99 cent 4" vise grips at Lowes

Stopped by lowes today, tool area seemed expanded, and they had a display of 4 tilted buckets with cheap tools including 99 cent 4" vise grip type locking pliers. I bought 4 of them, cute like a toy, but seems fully functional, must be some kind of use for them sometime. Made in China, but stamped with TaskForce, Lowes new house brand I think, so maybe same lifetime warranty.

At 99cents I may pick up another handful next time I stop in.

I use them to hold up the hood on my car where the lift supports have worn out. Work pretty well for that I suppose.

My Lowe's had them for as low as 25 cents b4 they sold out. Think I bought around 6 or 7 of them.

For that price if I use them one time it's a great deal. I bought one for the wife's car, not trusting them for my truck!

Was in Lowes yesterday killing time. Didn't see them. Hate sending more money to China, but sounds like a good deal.

I got some made in China small locking pliers from Lowes a few weeks ago.

The wife was with me and complaing; "Why do we need another tool and why do we need 10 of them?" I made her pay for them after that remark. She laughed when they rang up for a total of $1.60.
