As the title says I am 16 almost 17 just thought some people would like to see my tools. Its not much right now but I'm buying them as I go but minimum wage isn't so hot haha. I don't plan to be an auto tech or anything just like cars and fixing stuff. Short list to avoid a ton of questions
Snap on f80, FR80, TR72, FXK8, FXK6, TMU8B, SDD8, Ratcheting screwdriver in the mail, also a couple more extension. Craftsman all made in AMERICA except shallow metric 3/8 drive set and ratchets. Craftsman Pick set, Punch Set, 6 professional screwdrivers, angle finder, mini torn set, torx set, 10 and 31 inch professional pry bars, 3/8 drive metric and SAE deep and shallow, 1/2 drive metric shallow, 1/4 drive metric and shallow, 20 inch extension, adapter set, 3/8 breaker bar, hex sets metric and SAE, 6pt wrench sets metric is in the mail SAE in the pictures. Also have a rivet gun that was used for a project, some cheap lows pliers and screwdrivers. Also in the mail 3 channellocks and 1/2 drive SAE craftsman. All this in a Harbor freight 5 drawer cart. I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff and I'm always getting more stuff. Side note, I know this isn't the wanted section but if anyone has a Snap on SR936 or Sr80 they wanna let go for a decent price shoot me a message. Thanks

We all start somewhere! Looks like you have pretty nice tools though. Buy quality and someday you'll be giving your 16 year old kid that snap-on ratchet.

Good collection for your age, all I had at that age was a set of cheap hex keys!

Looks like you have the basics covered, now just buy tools as you need them and don't worry too much about brand names as long as the tool carries a lifetime warranty. You can always upgrade when the buck$ start flying in. I would say  but  will have to do til you're older. ;)

Rad. Nice clean set-up.

Respecting your tools at 16 is a good sign.

Nice start! Check the Pawn shops and Flea markets. There is some good cheap stuff out there.

I agree, great start. Getting some basic tools early on is a great investment, it can last a long time and earn back a little.

Well I am impressed, and I would like to start some thing. I would challenge all GJ member to go look in their tool box and make up a gift box to help this young man out. If he will p.m. me I will be the first to do so. And I will also pay the shipping so it will be no cost to this young man...Rich..

As I was reading this thread I was thinking the same thing. Is there some way we could make a list of what was sent so we avoid duplicating one common item instead of several different items? I'm down with footing my shipping costs to pay it forward.

Thanks everyone. Im sure when I'm older ill probably end up buying snap on wrenches and sockets and what not and pass these on. That would be really cool if you guys could send anything you got that you don't use. PM me and ill be more than happy to pay for shipping. As far as duplicates go people could post on here or pm and ill say if i have it or if someone sent it. Thanks again everyone, Evan

Ok just went quickly thru some items bound for Ebay and came up with these:
On the pliers/diags I'll just pull a couple out to ship. I am sure the box will get heavier before it leaves.

Schmoldty send me a PM with shipping info.

I really don't think it will matter if we do some duplication, some times an extra "what ever is nice to have. Plus if he gets too many of some thing he can pay it forward also.
Or do you think we should post what we are sending him. I kind of like the unknown box like Christmas packages. let me know. I am home and I have a box all made up, and yes some will be dups. Rich

I hope this takes off and you have to buy a bigger tool box...lol. So how does the group want to do this? Each person put up a pic of what they are sending? Any great ideals? Rich

Just thinking out loud here. If anybody sees anyone from their local area that would like to participate shipping costs could be divided and a flat rate box holds alot of stuff.

Sweet! Glad to see another young guy like me who would likes to build his tool collection and organize his toolbox! Definitely on the right track friend! Just remember, as it has already been said, this is an addictive habit and dollars don't carry far when your obsessed with buying tools! Good luck though!

It is nice for somebody in my age group posting up their tools! Looks like you have a hell of a start. Im 16 fixin to turn 17 and its nice to see some of our generation interested in buying tools and fixing things because we really do get a bad rep. I need to get around to posting up my tools as i also have an active snap-on tab as i get on the truck every other wednesday. My kra 24 is comin in next wednesday so ill make sure to post pics of it and some of my tools!

Fun little story about the SO truck. It comes by the shop every friday. So last friday i mis heard him saying something about a monday. So i can pay my tab and leave. This last monday he pulls in again. I thought damn i guess i got to pay again already.( keep in mind im new to the buying off truck thing). Well i end up spending more money of course on a BOGO. After getting off my friend then tells me i did not have to pay more. The only reason why he come was to get his money! Lol

What else are you looking for? I have some extras around, maybe I will have something, how about an air chisel any use for one? I have a older snap on that is still in work able condition.

Good for you guys for helping out a young guy!

OP: I'm another young guy collecting tools one day at a time! It's nice to see other young guys who don't view the world as disposable.

snap on guy around here demands receipts and stuff i guess unless he knows you so i just mail stuff to snap on its pretty easy takes like a week. actually an air chisel would be sweet i was doing some suspension work on an old chevelle the other day and i had to separate so much old rust garbage by hand.
