Heres a few current pics. Since my final inspection last spring,I kind of took a break on the shop. I plan on attacking it again this winter, so I better hurry because its starting to fill up fast.

Nice man. Love those attic trusses - I learned something new today...attic trusses = cheap extra square footage. Keep it up.

I have an insulation question for you.... I see you have insulated the ceiling between garage and loft. Did you use vapor barrier?

mrzoop, I only used vapor barrier on the ceiling below the attic space which comes out about 6ft out from the outside wall on either side. Hows your shop coming along...?

All of the outside is complete. I built the stairs for the loft and did all the prewire and new panel this winter. It was nasty work because the only heat source I had was my outdoor patio heater... now the weather is improving I am preparing for insulation & drywall on Easter weekend.

This is when I hit the wall with how to install vapour barrier. There are so many different concepts out there on how to do it. Both the garage and loft will be heated by separate heat sources and will be primarily at different temps during the winter.

Your suggestion seems the most reasonable. How did you keep the insulation up in the non-vapour barrier section. I have read wire or small finishing nails...

Everyone has different opinions on vapor barrier. Personally I wouldnt have done it, but our building codes require it.
The insulation is just hanging there in the ceiling. Once in awhile I will have to red tape some back up after the kids have been in the loft. I swear they must have wrestling matches up there....lol!

Recent addition to the shop was this 4 post hoist. Must have for the car enthusiast. It came with a set of castors , so it can be moved with ease.

Hey neighbor, hows the build?

Mine is coming along slowly. With snow today it kinda put a damper on the speed of things. I hope to finish up the bottom ribbon of facia board this week and start siding shortly. I hope once i get the siding started i'll get a build thread on here going aswell.

ya unfortunately out here in the corn they only allow 650ish sq ft and 4 meters high (14ish ft)... way too small for my liking and I have ONE fricking neighbour that I'm sure will put a stop to my variance application...
Not a happy camper here... :lol_hitti

keep the pictures coming
