A bit more old SK this weekend

Kind of a slack day at the swap meet, not lacking in people since it was closed last weekend for some Rose Bowl soccer thing, but my normal used Snapon vendor wasn't their, and I was back in the last row before I found anything interesting. One of the old guys I always talk with, but never has stuff I want to buy, had some. Once I found the little SK set I had to dig through every inch and box on his tables looking to complete the set (didn't, but did find a couple more sockets). Turned up the Hazet, Plomb and Herbrand in the process.

Couldn't resist the plastic ball driver, same as EZ Drive, but Pratt Read branded.

Last on the way out found box of pliers, couple dozen maybe, hindsight I should have bought the whole thing, but I picked out 5 that I thought I might someday use. Rest of the stuff looked like for an electrician, but the pliers are for jewelry making I think.

Picts below;

The whole bunch
Wrenches, Hazet, 2x herbrand, and Plomb (looks worse in person).
Flip side of wrenches.
SK box
SK sockets and Vlchek punch
Pratt Read version of EZ Driver
Utica 31-8 pliers.

Some nice stuff, I'm itchin' to get out to a flea market or something to look for tools. Here's an odd coincidence I just (not kidding, just before I walked in and saw this thread) opened a box old tools to start sorting and ran across an old S-K Wayne set with what I think is the identical box, what are the odds. I'll snap a pic and post it.

I have a Hazet just like that.. 8mm and 13mm. I have always had the impression it was from a vw/audi jack & tool kit in the trunk.

Very nice SK set Mickey, mine is 1/4 is yours 3/8?

My SK label, sorry hard to read in the pict says Symington Wayne, and the sockets don't look too good.

Hazet is for sure out of some old VW kit, I now have 3 of the same silly things.

Pliers are Lindstrom, Lectron (soft jaw), and Excelta, swiss and Italian.

Are you sure on the Pratt Read, my oldest EasyDriver is Creative something in VT.

Thanks for the compliments on the set, I'm finding a lot a treasures as I go through my old stuff.

It's a 3/8" metric set, I think I have the 1/4" set but haven't gotten to that box yet.

Danglerb: Nice haul!

Mickey O: That's a great looking set of older SK's!

It's good to see we've got at least a few people (including SK Farmer) that appreciate SK for the quality and value they offer; unfortunately, SK's gotten a lot of bashing on this board lately after their strike problems and the change in warranty replacement terms.
