A/C blues

i have a 1995 jeep grand Cherokee the a/c cluch wont engage i tried jumping the low pressure switch checked both the fuse and the other one under the hood forget what its called now . what do i do next?

try straight from the battery to the clutch the back to ground if that don't work its time for a new one

Same type scenario, '97 Malibu.
Compressor leads very inaccessible.
I found the compressor relay (in the wide open), pulled the relay, popped the top on it (not sealed or glued, just clips). Plugged it back in, made the contacts by finger, took right off.
My problem was the "High side" switch, can pressure wouldn't make it. But one little bump of the compressor and all is good.
Don't tell anybody, it leaks a can a year, shhhhhhh
