I am getting set up to be able to charge air in my cars. Bought a HF guage - hose set. Have a industrial vacuum pump that I need to put a fitting in it to be able to connect to the yellow hose from the pressure guage manifold.

I thought the hose was an fittings but I was wrong.can someone tell me what the male fitting would be called that the yellow charge hose takes.I keep reading it’s acme but have no idea what I need to buy. Thanks! Jim

I did order the can pierce adapter and it has 1/4 and an adapter to 1/2 I believe but I need the male that fits hose on one side and a 3/8 npt to fit into pump.

1/4 male flare to what ever pipe threads are on your vacuum pump.
An HVAC supply house is your friend here or a great old fashioned hardware store, not a big box.
Acme threads are what is on the R134A manifold set.
Your yellow hose should be female Acme on one end and 1/4 female flare on the other.
You will need 3/8 male pipe thread to 1/4 male flare adapter .
I hope this helps.....

look in Master Cool or Robinair catalogs and they show fittings and Adapters

Also Yellow Jacket. Different refrigerants use different size fitting and pressures. R134A is quickly being replaced by R1234YF. Wow, is that stuff expensive !
