My old shop had an industrial hydraulic crimper mounted to a bench for making custom A/C and power steering lines. Now I need to purchase one for my new employer and have been looking at the Mastercool 71500A since there is no budget for one of those nice $5k plus machines.
Anyone own one? How is it? Are the crimps show quality? Do they mar and deform around the crimps because this would be a no go in our shop.
Consistency is a big thing also, and the more I think about it the more I realize we may have to wait to find a used bench mount production machine to obtain the results we require.
Thoughts?
