A/C Drip Pan Pump - Need a recommendation

I have had occasional problems with my A/C overflowing and filling up the overflow pan. There is a shut off "float" switch which shuts the unit off when the pan fills with water.

I used to own a 110v semi-submersible pump that I would stick in the pan and pump the water out. Little thing with a plug and hose. Stick it in the pan it would pump the water out. Worked great!

Somewhere the pump took "legs" and disappeared or it is hiding in a corner of an attic or a workshop. I might have loaned it out and never got it back.

I'm looking to replace it with something that is well built.

Any suggestions? I'm looking for something to buy off internet but need a brand suggestions.

Thanks.

Are you talking about a condensate pump?

I have had good luck with Little Giant pumps. They are a well established pump company with parts and service available.

I have not bought one in about 3 years and don't know if they have outsourced their mfg. to China......WW Grainger does not list country of origin.

I agree. I usually treat the PVC drain lines about once a year with some bleach and blow them out with some air. Some times I forget or get lazy. Also sometimes it is for neighbors who need help.

I had a great little pump and the fact that I can't find it is driving me nuts.

I'll have a look at the pumps.

Thanks for the suggestions.
