a/c in damp basement-yes or no?

my basement is damp despite three dehumidifiers I have heating/A/C vents there. Should I leave the vents open giving cool a/c air there?

Three humidifiers is a LOT of dehumidification. It's probably less expensive to dig the foundation and make the appropriate repairs than to continue to run 3 dehumidifiers for a year... that's a lot of power.

What humidity level are you at, and where are you trying to get?

Either you have a huge cavernous basement, or you have a river pouring in.
How much air leakage do you have?

Jeeze my dehumidifier ***** about $20.00 a month of electricity.

Sounds like nearly standing water if 3 de-humidifiers can't pull down moisture. A/C will help a little but nothing like 3 de-humidifiers.
