I installed RaceDeck flooring in my 3rd car garage in 2007 and I have gotten 15 great years of use from the flooring in this garage. In previous years I have always used this garage to store my "fun" cars - 1970 Dodge Challenger, then Porsche 911's and most recently a 1965 Corvette. I sold the Corvette a few months back and have decided to use this 3rd garage for projects. I have spent the past couple weeks reorganizing the space and adding some new tools.
The last step in the process of transforming this garage was to clean and refinish the 15-year-old floor. I spent a couple hours cleaning the floor, then I finished it with a top coating that provides protection and a fantastic shine. I could not be happier. My neighbor stopped by yesterday and commented that his kitchen floor doesn't look this nice. I am super happy, and it further confirms my decision to go with the RaceDeck floor in my garage. For me, it's been the perfect floor in both of my garages (my main garage has the ribbed, or flow-thru design).
My cleanup process was:
I cannot believe how nice the floor looks now. I think it looks better than new. The level of shine is spectacular.

My cleanup process was:
- Clean every single tile by hand using Super Clean Purple Power (diluted about 4 to 1). I used a spray bottle and a mildly abrasive kitchen sponge. After scrubbing I wiped clean with an old t-shirt.
- Let the floor completely dry.
- Using a floor mop I applied SnapLock "Restore Finish". I poured about 1/3 gallon of the Restore Finish in a bucket and then applied 6 light coats to the floor, until my bucket was empty. I let each coating dry before applying the next coat. It was a warm dry day, so each coating dried in less than 30 minutes.
