The fish wood-fired heater is awesome. While nautical or fishing isn't my thing, that would definitely be a cool thing to have if you're into it or near a lake.

Damn...that fish woodburner is great!!! It sort of reminds me of something that Jules Verne would have on his sub. Does it give heat from all over the housing of the fish? If it does, that is some good utilization of what you could say, an extra heat source. Can you put a thermometer alongside the lowest point of the head and tallest point of the tail and take a reading as to the temperature difference than from the middle? I wonder how much more heat you would get in the garage if you put a fan in a portion of the tail. You might get more heat with using less wood.

Yes, it radiates heat nose to tail.
I have not checked stack temps, but feel i could probably rob more heat without
creating much creosote

I like them both, I am guessing that the fish is welded around the wood stove, or is the whole fish the fire box?
Yes, the firebox welded to backside of the fish, but the flue run down into the snout and then the flue gas travels up through the body over and under the firebox and out the tail.
There is also a bypass to help get a draft started.
Maybe a couple pics will help explain it.

One last reply for the night.
Thanks to all for the compliments and I really enjoy sharing these projects.
I've gotten a lot of ideas through the years studying others work, maybe some of
this could help spark a idea.

Impressive work. Are these for clients or for your self?
None the less very creative and well done.

Thanks,
The stool and stove went to my shop.
The drying rack was a gift to my youngest daughter and her brood.
The same daughter goaded me into building the fish stove

Awesome!

(At first I thought it was weird, but then I saw that you were in FBKS, and it all made sense) :)

Wow, that fish stove is amazing. I would love one of those for my shops! I may have to steal some design ideas from it for when I "attempt" to replicate it! Nice work. I love it. :D

I'm thinking that everything we create is directly related to everything we see and how we perceive it, so feel free to steal all you can carry!

You sir are awesome, but I worry that you have way too much spare time. Very nice work!!

That makes me grin, a buddy of mine always tells me I got to much time on my hands and I have to remind him that we all start with the same 24 hours each day. I guess it's all in how we choose to burn it up.

After 30 some winters here, I question my sanity more and more each winter.
Then spring comes around and I seem to forget.
Senility perhaps?

Not senility, honesty!

Joking, of course. I love FBKS, but don't know if I'm tough enough for the winters. Especially 30 of them.

Awesome stuff man. The log/piggy bank is fantastic, just like the others. Do you have any other pictures of it?

Here is one more pic of the log bank and one of a coffee table constructed using
similar technique.
