I am in need of a wet/dry vac and am wondering what brands people prefer and why. I have used Ridgid in the past and they have worked well but I am also open to suggestion on other brands such as Shop-Vac, Craftsman etc

Second, does anyone have a recommendation for a basic grease gun (not air or electric) that is made in the USA?

Lastly is there any members on the board that are employed by or involved with the "new" SK Tools that could send me a PM, I have some questions for you.

As always I appreciate the information the members of GJ provide me.

Fein vacuums are really nice. They're expensive though, but they are quiet and they have an auto start feature for dust collection.

Ive got a craftsman vac that just won't quit. Ive tried to kill it. It's been very good to me. It's 6.5 hp, 16gal with the detatchable blower.
As far as grease guns go I've always got mine from NAPA. It's a "heavy duty" model. Pistol grip with 18in flexable hose. Model # 715-1230. Around $40. Althought every grease gun is a PITA, these are pretty good guns.

I have CM, Kobalt and Shop Vac. I'd buy what's on sale but get around 16 gallon and 2.5" hose.

Shop vacs seem to last forever. I wouldn't seek out the "boutique" brands.

In my opinion, Dayton makes the best "shop vac." Many of their models are made in USA. Also when buying a vac, I think having a unit that accepts bags is essential.

I only own 2 things from RIDGED. I pipe wrench made before home depot was even thought of and a shop vac. Got the shop vac as a gift a few years back. It hasn't skipped a beat. Buy the biggest one you can afford as far as horsepower is concerned.
