I've been lurking here for a while, and thought I'd put up pictures since I just Rustoleum'd the floors, after painting the walls last summer. I don't want to call these the "after" pictures, since there's a lot more I would like to do.

I have a shed outside, outfitted with tools & workshop where I build and restore italian racing bikes. Right now, the shed is jammed full of more stuff. I'll add pics once I get that cleaned out & painted.

The hardest part about pimping up my garage has been the "de-crapifying" process.

I forgot to mention: Thanks to everyone on the board for ideas and examples. I love the exotic garages (esp. Utah's Bunker garage and BMWPower's) but it's the 2-car everyday ones that give me ideas.

Decrapifying is always the hardest part! The next one is convincing the other half that the garage is NOT a storage depot but a place to work on the junk! Lucky that my better half just wants a warm spot in the winter to park her truck.

By Italian racing bikes, I mean the people-powered ones. Hand-made bikes from the late '80's with lots of chrome and bling. The lightweight components are made by Campagnolo... who also made aluminum wheels and fuel injection units for Ferrari, Alfa, Maserati, etc.

You can see 4 of them up on the bike rack. Right now three Guerciotti's (hence my userid), A Bianchi along with a few carbon fiber ones: Kestrel and TVT. It gives me something to wrench on, and I can restore one for less than the cost of registering a car at the California DMV (usually $1k or less, all in).

I've also owned sports and muscle cars (Grew up with Corvettes, owned a 64 Mustang and modified Jeep). These satisfy the urge for me now.

I guessed as much from the bikes on the wall. I have a 2nd shop in the basement for my bikes, and spend quite a bit of time working with a local hall of fame frame builder, Frank The Welder. I can definitely appreciate resto'ing some fine old Cro-Mo.

Love the 'Corona Speedway 1913' picture on the wall. Have one just like it hanging on my wall. Being a Corona resident, gotta represent our old school claim to fame!

Your garage looks really smart. I just started making a go at clearing out all the **** from mine - I think it's gonna take weeks rather than days though... then I can start considering actually decorating the thing.
