"A" Designation on Snap-On Ratchets

Is there any way to figure out the difference between a SnapOn with an "A" at the end of the model number and one without?

e.g. SHF80A vs. SHF80

Just an example - I'm trying to figure out used Snappy models in general to see what you really get with the "A"

They changed the direction the screws go into the faceplate IIRC- the original design was prone to breakage or the screws loosening up or something.

I'm sure someone will be along with more details.

Revision letter on the 1/2" is the cover plate screw change. The 3/8 and 1/4 flex were updated a year or so ago with a slightly enlarged flex joint. Those are the only changes I've heard of.

In general, an A appears to mean a revision, whether to correct a weakness or just match the design more closely to customer expectations.
