So I am building a fuel injector tester/cleaner. I have the basic electronics built and seems to basically work but I would like to make a small bottle, about 2-4” in diameter x 8-12” tall to fill with carb cleaner and pressurize to 40psi to be shot into the injector. I tested it with a can of carb cleaner but it sprays extra fluid everywhere.
Would 4” black pvc by about 10” tall with glued end caps be able to hold 40psi?
Here is a pic of my first shot at the rig. I used all vintage parts left over from my Dad’s garage, the super thin stainless, the switches, terminal block and light, the baby food jar and even the wire, connectors and old spool of solder. Also found a can of old nuts and bolt that I used to dimple the thin sheet metal to try and make it stronger.
