How long before I can move equipment around on new concrete, I should know this but..... really need to use the Genie lift(30 ft electric) to work on other things. Thanks for your time! tt
I wouldnt walk on it for about 24hrs and move heavy stuff onto about 3 days later. I would give it a solid 3 days for heavy stuff. The crazy thing about concrete is that it truley doesnt cure for about 30 days! ha!
depend s on how wet you pour it, go hit it with a hammer, if it makes a mark then its too soft, but of course you dont want to hit with a hammer, so drive something heavy on it, but it might leave a mark, ah grasshopper when is the right time, when its hard. There is no correct time because all slabs are pour different.
It will have a dry hard clay/crushed limestone base, and it's been hot and humid here, might snow before the contractor gets here, I poured the other parts of the workshop 16-17 yrs ago, seems like I was walking on it the next day, but gave it a week before moving equipment around on it. Always poured when it was cool, never this hot! tt
here is a link to my workshop album http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=eed9203975b0bf69d5a101cf914073b4e74ad460baa3f2b7# The old windows were getting bad, these windows ran less than 75$ w/tax each, only thing there is 50 of them, so it wasn't cheap. but I won't be reglazing or painting them! They poured another 5.5 yards of concrete today, it don't look to bad. it will hard waiting for a week till I can get the Genie lift on there. tt
