....well, actually it's a 'chair mat', but it IS laminate flooring, which has been glued to 3/4" ply and edge-banded with solid Oak trim that sticks above the surface to act as a 'curb' around the edges and keep you from rolling off. The Rollerblade style aftermarket wheels plus this mat are the best upgrades I've made to my work area! The cheesy plastic mats crack and don't let you roll easily either! Plus, I think this looks a little better.......

Dig it...."Aftermarket wheels" for your chair! Have you thought about testing that chair out at your local skate park? Might find yourself being a trend setter (or in the ER).

Nice mat BTW.

I don't know about a skate park, but a hill might tempt me! :D Here they are BTW, if there's someone who might be interested in something similar:

BTW----the whole chair was a project that keeps morphing over time. It started as a normal upholstered office chair, then that wore out, I did a little dumpster diving and found and old wood chair, sawed the legs off, painted it, and swapped it with the 'stock' seat, making this a 'Superstock' chair, I guess. With the addition of these wheels, maybe it just bumped me up into a different class! (like Super mod maybe! :D)
