I'm a bit of a neat freak when I'm working on my stuff. Frankly, I just can't stand working on dirty parts or dirty cars or in a dirty shop... It makes me clumsy and messy...

Do they hold to the box real good when you yank off a towel real quick?

Yeah... they are heavy magnets... You can jerk pretty good and they don't budge.

Depending on what I put it on. I might worry about scratching the surface some. I have a magnetic glove box holder on the inside of my tool box cabinet door. There are some small scratches. Its been on there for about 5 years. I don't know if I would want the scratches forming the outside of my box. Price seems good for something with magnets that strong.

I honest to god think that is a roll of toilet paper in the picture... Sure looks like one. That's griot's marketing photo - not mine.

Hey guys, thanks for the mention. The Magnetic Paper Towel Holder is awesome! One of my personal favorites for keeping towels handy on my box, tool cart, etc.

**and no, it is not TP in the picture (though, we have had some customers purchase them for that). we used a regular roll of paper towels in the picture, but the angle does give it that TP look. maybe we should reshoot it with blue towels???**

If you are worried about scratches, put a piece of either wax paper or cling wrap on the magnets before you stick them to the box. Should stop any small scratches from happening.

Of course the holder could already have plastic caps on the magnets (I did not take a super close look)

I own these and love them. I have a steel building so I just stick them to one of the trusses. I plan to order another one or two soon, Derek! : )

The best way to avoid scratches would be to make sure your tool box (or whatever surface you choose to attach them to) is clean. A quick wipe down your favorite cleaner *cough* Griot's Surface Cleaner *cough* is enough to remove the dirt from the surface. The magnets are soft enough that they shouldn't create scratches on their own.

Found similar ones at HF... Not sure of the Magnet strength though

If it's similar to the spray can holder I got at HF (which is a pretty safe assumption), the magnets are quite strong. I have two full cans of PB blaster, a few pens, and a bunch of metal files stuck in mine and it feels solid as a rock! I would imagine a roll of towels should be no problem.

Got a set from HF. Strong magnet; makes it a bit of a pain to change rolls, but better that than the darn thing moving around every time you tear off a sheet. Great add to my Vidmar cabinet converted to tool box.
