A buddy has offered me a 100,000 btu corn burning furnace which would be leaps & bounds above running a salamander all the time. Does anyone have this model or another type of corn burning furnace in their shop? Do corn burners raise insurance premiums compared to traditional heaters such as propane or fuel oil? I have emailed the company to see about getting a manual for this so hopefully they have either a print copy or can put it on the internet so I can download it. Was going to go with tube fired IR but if I can get this going for under 400.00 I can buy corn from the neighbor.
