A Pocket Full of Tiny Tools

These are all great ideas, although I lean more minimalist when scouting tools. Experience has shown that I need two items most of all: a pocket LED flashlight (uses one AAA cell) and a cheap plastic magnifying glass (2" diameter lens).

If I think there won't be a tape measure available (estate or yard sale, flea market), I'll bring a Stanley 3-foot Powerlock, a keychain item about the size and thickness of three or four 25-cent pieces.

I have a screwdriver on my keychain and a flashlight on my phone. If anyone needs me to fix some complicated **** while I'm out, they are gonna have to carry it closer to my vehicle where my toolbox is.

I carry a 5” pliers wrench in my right front pocket along with my wallet every day. I find myself using it a lot. So much, in fact, I’m thinking about ordering another one for a spare.

Yea... the offset isn't too bad on these. It's a combined set of wrenches I cobbled together on eBay. I'd be willing to let them go for postage + the cost of a starbucks coffee if you are interested. PM me. I have not used them in several years. I believe they are all USA...

Thanks for the offer, but I'm only bringing tools I either need or really love into my toolbox these days. I'm too old to accumulate too many tools now.

My exact reason for my offer... lol... too old to care about wrenching at this point. Now it's just .. what tools can I carry that would PREVENT me from having to go to my toolbox to get the right tool.

Yup. I hear that. I'll probably put a price tag on my toolbox and the tools in it at some point, so my wife will know what to ask for them.

Did you ever find the short double end metric box end wrenches you liked? You might want to look at these.
