A question for those with white floors

Would you Choose white if you had the chance to do it again? How's it holding up?

I'm ready to pull the trigger on a solid color Polyurea floor coating. I'm torn between a white floor or gray. My heart wants white, but my brain is saying that gray might make more sense.
White is striking and clean. It reflects tons of light. Most people say that it's really tough to keep clean though.
Gray is more of a compromise in my eyes. Less hassle, but more of a 'typical shop floor' appearance.

Anybody willing to share their experience with white floors?

I don't have a white garage floor and I don't know anyone who does. I do know a lady who has an almost white tile kitchen floor and she isn't real happy with it. It looks nice when she scrubs it, but in a fairly short while it starts to look like it needs cleaning again, which I suppose it does. As in most things, there is good and bad in having a white floor. All you can do is weigh the good and the bad and then decide what you want to do.

In my previous place my shed had a white epoxy coating. I liked it but my OCD had me mopping the floor weekly. After a year I cleaned, sanded, solvent wiped and applied a grey epoxy over the top.

We would strongly recommend against it for a garage floor. White, which we sell, is normally reserved for gallery type facilities with foot traffic and have regular cleaners, and hangars which are low traffic.

Our light gray is very light, almost a pewter color, but much easier to keep clean.

You can add our white pigment to our Nohr-S gray kits, add as much as you like to find the perfect light-gray you are after. This is a nice compromise.

Alright, alright. You all talked me out of the white. Light gray it is!

I like my white floor. It’s mostly a workshop with some auto maintenance, but not used for daily driver parking. It will always look dirty, but I. Never been one to keep a pristine shop, so it doesn’t bother me.

I am still considering a white porcelain tile. I wouldn't consider a white epoxy floor for normal parking and working duties if I had to clean it myself, lol.

My last garage had a white floor. I went with light gray and white flakes for this one.

I’ve had a white porcelain tile floor for 25 years and my guy’s mop it ever day ......

It has lasted and is in great shape all these years later. And yes I would do it again.....

Once a year we use a floor buffer with a scotch brite Black pad and it is not slick and looks great....

White for a garage floor is not among the most popular choices. It will show all of the dirt and tire tracks coming and going (not to say the tires are staining the floor, just leaving dirt tracks though this depends on the coatings performance to hot tire pickup).

If you plan to clean your floor often then do whatever your heart desires. Other colors that hide dirt, especially those with chips will pretty much always look good and require less cleaning than an all white floor.

Have fun!

I have been searching for someone who did a broadcast floor in BMW motorsports livery for ages! Its hard to tell what colors you did choose there, but they look very close in the first picture. I was not one for a broadcast system, but you might have swayed me. Now to show the wife..

Your floor looks amazing but the roundie looks even better!! I have had 6 BMWs over the last 10 years and all of them M cars with the exception of one of them and it was my favourite of them all, 1979 e21 320i!
