I clip my the springs on my rats I didn't know how many others did so but was sure others probably did. It makes a world of difference wether it be high tooth count or low but usually low. I also put snap on springs in other brand rats ,just did in a Gray and clipped it and wow what a difference it's smoother than a cornwell.
