I'm not a good woodworker but I'm a pretty good husband so when my wife had to teach music on line from home during the pandemic I wanted to make the process as nice as possible for her.
The foundation for a pleasant working space is a nice desk. I wanted to give her as much work surface as possible in the area of her music room that's available. This is made with a skill saw, a kreg jig and a hand held router. It's oak with legs salvaged off a table that we bought off of Cragslist ten years ago and had on our patio.

By the way, teaching music on line is every bit as fun as you would imagine. It's easier than say, volleyball but it's still severely compromised.
