Fellas, as years go by some side play will develop in your Wilton Bulllet. You can tell if the Dynamic jaw has substantial side play by opening it about 3-4" and taking the jaw and try moving it from side to side.
You will need 2 vises or go by your neighbor. Take the Dynamic jaw completely out and face it straight up in the other vise. I guess you don't have to have another vise. I'm thinking most of you have more then one. Next, take a screwdriver and pry up the keyway nearest the handle.
Next, find a old hacksaw blade and cut off 1" from one end. Clean it. and with the hole at the opposite end of your pliers insert underneath the keyway so the the keyway pin fits into the hole at the end of your hacksaw blade.
Tap the key back into place.
Its important when you are running that bar back in, it may tighten up. Don't have it so tight that you can get it open. Sometimes that blade (shim) underneath might need some sanding for a good fit.
Its as easy as 123!
